Haminan Vesi has previously taken care of stormwater drainage in the area of ​​the city of Hamina.

On 22 of September 2020, the city council decided that the city of Hamina will be responsible for stormwater treatment, starting from 1 of January 2021.

The entire stormwater network was transferred from Haminan Vesi to the property and management of the city of Hamina. Haminan Vesi will no longer charge a basic fee or connection fees for stormwater.
